Computer Hardware Components
Computer Hardware is the form a computer not really from the inside, but from the outside. Hardware comprise of items that you can just touch. Software on the other hand is what is inside the computer, i.e. what really is needed for the computer to work properly. There are many types of computer hardware which together makes the whole computer.
Below are examples of computer hardware which together create the whole computer.
· Monitor: it helps you view the results of your working and of the computer in general. The monitor is just similar to a television. It helps you watch games, videos and movies apart from all the results that it displays.
· The CPU: this is the central processing unit where all the complications and calculations happen. It is inside the CPU that the main components which are responsible for the computer’s working are placed.
· Memory: The greater the memory of your computer, the better will be ability for it to store more data.
· Mother board: While the processor acts like a brain to your computer, the motherboard is the heart to your computer. It maintains the connection between each every component of the PC and ensures a smooth operation. If the computer fails to boot up or shows any erratic system behaviour, it means that there is something wrong with the motherboard and it needs to be checked.
· Printer: this allows you to print any kind of document or pictures of any format you want to. The printer can be of any type and can posses more than one type of function.
· Wireless or wired routers: Routers allow you to connect to other networks. They can either work on their own or with modems as well.
· Keyboard and Mouse: the keyboard allows you to type in keys and characters for operating the computer or doing any of work. The mouse helps you to scroll and browse the documents and icons.
· Hard Drive: The hard drive keeps all your data, information, files and folders and music amongst many other items that are stored in your computer.
· Power Supply: power supply provides the required voltage to your computer. Proper power supply ensures that they are no irregular voltages sent to your computer and ensures the proper running of your computer.
· Sound card: A sound card ensures that the computer is audio enabled. With a sound card you can enjoy all kinds of sounds on the computer. Sound cards are enabled in the computer system with the help of sound card drivers.
Computer hardware components have different configurations. Configurations are available for all kinds of hardware. You just need to do the configuration according to your usage of the hardware.
