There are many aspects towards improving your computer, which include from improving the speed of the computer to upgrading the hardware and software of your computer. Just read below and benefit from these simple things that you can do on your own.

When you have been using your computer for a period of time, it might become slower in its speed because of frequent installation of programs. So the first thing you need to do in order to improve your computer’s speed is to remove all the excess programs that actually hampered the speed of your computer.

You should also delete all shortcuts in starting up a group. By removing such kinds of programs, you can actually improve the booting speed of your computer.

Also, you should uninstall any resident programs in the system. For this, you should go to the System Configuration Utility, and click the “Start-up” tab where you can choose the resident programs that you do not use very often and delete them.

You should always install good anti-virus software in your computer. This software takes care of all the viruses which might infiltrate your computer when connected to any local network or the internet.

Regular de-fragmentation is also important for your computer so that you can free your computer from any junk files or corrupted files that tend to take up a lot space on your hard disk.

You should always try to upgrade your computer with the latest version of the software so that your computer becomes compatible with any item that you install or download. This also helps in improving the speed of your computer.

You should always shut down your computer properly. This means going to the programs menu and selecting the required ‘shut down’ option. You should then wait till the screen turns off itself rather than switching it off in a hurried manner.

The wires and cables fitted into all parts of the computer should be inserted and fitted tightly and properly.

You should always ensure that there is proper power supply given to the computer. If the power supply is irregular, then your hardware components like the monitor and CPU might malfunction. Installing a voltage regulator is always good idea for the safety of your computer.
